New York Fashion Week is set to make a stylish return this fall, with designers expected to bring their best to the runway.
The spring/summer 2025 collections from brands like 3.1 Phillip Lim, Luar, and Willy Chavarria, among others, will be featured in over 60 runway shows scheduled for early September. While New York design studio Area is slated to open the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA)-organized event with a fall/winter 2024 runway show on September 6, Ralph Lauren and Proenza Schouler are set to present their collections in the days leading up to the official start.
CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winner Melitta Baumeister, a New York-based German designer and Parsons School of Design alumna who received a cash prize and mentorship last fall, will close the six-day fashion extravaganza.
The spring NYFW runway shows attracted a star-studded guest list, featuring a mix of music icons, Hollywood stars, sports figures, and fashion insiders. Among the notable attendees in February were Beyoncé, Janet Jackson, Sam Smith, Anna Wintour, Emily Ratajkowski, and Blake Lively.

When is New York Fashion Week 2024?
NYFW officially starts on Friday, September 6. This event marks the beginning of fashion month, with fashion weeks in London, Milan, and Paris following closely behind.
New York Men’s Day kicks off on September 6, featuring presentations from A. Potts, Clara Son, Earthling, Sivan, and The Salting, just ahead of the first runway show. Daily shows are scheduled through September 11, wrapping up that evening.
Every February and September, NYFW offers a global platform for designers to showcase their creations to tastemakers, buyers, and the media.

Where is NYFW?
This year, NYFW has relocated from downtown Spring Studios to RXR’s Starrett-Lehigh Building in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood.
The new venue, described as a “professional and cultural hub,” features an outdoor terrace with views of the Hudson River, a restaurant, a food hall, and various event spaces.
